Hello,
I have a Toshiba Dynadock U Universal USB Connect Docking Station. I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Professional.
I set my screen resolution at 1680x1050. Whenever I turn on my laptop, the correct screen resolution of 1680x1050 is displayed. However, when I hibernate, after I turn back on from hibernation, the screen resolution always reset to 800x600. So after each hibernation, I have to reset my screen resolution back to 1680x1050.
Is there a way I can set up the Dynadock so that it remember my screen resolution.
Thanks much,

Why dont you disable hibernation as it seems the dynadock is outputting a signal that is the maximum that your external monitor / tv is capable of showing
Make sure you have the latest driver software for the Dynadock, mine works perfectly on a Dell notebook and i found the latest display drivers really helpful.Make sure you have the latest driver software for the Dynadock, mine works perfectly on a Dell notebook and i found the latest display drivers really helpful.

It will be drivers. I had endless problems with a toshiba dynadock which took days trying to sort out. Once Toshiba released the windows 8.1 driver it worked a treat. You will need to use different drivers for each docking station.
You are right, it should not...Check your device manager and see if there is any problem listed there (the little yellow exclamation mark) against the Dynadock. Also check on Windows site if your device is listed as compatible with Win 8 ... Just some ideas, hard to tell just by description.
Don't use the disc for driver try uninstall the driver then reboot reconnect the dock and let windows find the driver I found this solved my problem with it.
Try to plug in the speaker jack to Headphone jack on you laptop not to your docking station. So the desktop speaker is treated as an external average speaker.
GoodLuck!
