How do I scan for channels ? Think of me as a dumb blonde, I need exact instructions and I cant find the manual

There are multiple model numbers associated with this TV. Typically, the model number is on the back of the TV. Is the model number:
KDL40XBR2
KDL40XBR3
KDL40XBR4
KDL40XBR5
KDL40XBR6
KDL40XBR7
KDL40XBR8
KDL40XBR9
KDL40XBR950

The instructions to scan for channels depend on it.

You can get an owners manual from;

Click on the Operating Instructions link to download a manual.

Remember you go into the menu to the input or channel section.
Make sure it is set to match your input signal either Air or Cable.
Then Auto program or scan.
