The last time I checked my camera was working fine but I just tried to turn it on and it just won't; I get nothing; not even the green light to let me know it's got power.
Hello! Hi have the NIKON CooPix S7C. I would so appreciate some help. Majority of images I shoot are fuzzy if photo taken indoors. I have tried every white balance setting, and nothing helps. I have experimented with almost all settings and still can't seem to get clear, sharp images unless I am shooting outside on a sunny day, or in a room with a lot of sunlight. How can I fix this? My baby is 10 months old now...and the majority of his photos are fuzzy...I hate that I am not capturing his cutest moments :o( Please Help! Thanks a million! :o)

Old batteries will take a charge, albeit more quickly and cannot supply enough power to carry on working.
Time to purchase a new battery and hope you won't need a new camera as well.
If nothing is wrong with the camera, the battery is placed correctly, the battery cover is closed correctly then only one thing can be wrong. Even when you don't believe it is possible, the battery can be flat again.
So to make sure everything is as you think. Charge the battery again, and look if the charger acts as usually. The charging lamp turns orange and charging begins. When the charging is finished, the lamp turns green. Last time you charged, it could have taken 4 hours, before the lamp went green. If the battery is recently charged, it only will take a fraction of that time. If it still takes a long time, your battery was empty. It is recommended, to charge not longer than for 24 hours. After charging, please wait till the battery is cooled down. Then insert it again and close the battery cover. Check the cover closes correctly. And now switch on again.
If you charged with an USB cambs connected to the camera. Don't forget to remove the cable, because the camera won't start as long as an USB cable is connected.
Try to use you camera to format the card maybe it will be get better,
else you can use a card reader to read the card and see if it's all right, or you can try to use the card with other cameras and see if it's OK.
It seems your card you have used well for some time, so it won't be the wrong card type. Else you have to check if the card is one of the types which your camera support
Sounds like a loose or poor connection of the screen's flex cables, a very common problem for your model camera. The A630's vari-angle screen is a great option for a camera, but with this moveable screen, the screens data and power cables can and do wiggle loose. It is actually relatively easy to fix by just reseating these cables, but will require opening the back face of the screen of your camera. Please see this other person who had a similar problem.
That seems to be a common problem on this website. Why don't you go to the support section of your camera manufacturer, and e-mail one of their tech guys with the problem...i'm sure they've seen this before and have an answer.
When there is nothing happening, it is hard to understand what is wrong. Do the menus cone on or anything turn on? If the camera comes on at all, then try setting all the menus to default. If nothing comes on, no lights, nothing, then you are stuck.
If it will not turn on at all, I would recommend selling it at a site such as Ebay for repair parts, as is. At least you can get some money back, and buy another camera.
Also you may want to consider to call Nikon and trade-in or trade-up your camera for a re-furbished unit (a re-furbished unit will have everything just as it came from the factory. The support-repair department would be the place to get the number and information.
Thank you, so much!!! who woulda thought?!! Appreciate it very much.
