Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the XP or VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.

Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

When you open the WEBcam on your computer do you see yourself as a fuzzy image?
If so you need to adjust the focus on the WEBcam, the focus adjustment is the ring around the lens.
You can also download the WEBcam driver from the Logitech WEB site, makesure you select the driver for you model WEBcam and the XP or Vista version that matches your Windows installed version.

Trying to install Logitech QuickCam Chat... installation starts and then disappears. Portions of it are installed but nothing works. I've disabled all spyware/virus/firewall programs as instructed. OS is...

Go to this page on Logitech support
Identify your cam in top matrix
Cross reference with the Operating System below to make sure the result is compatible with your Computer.

If you have 'New Hardware Recognition' on your computer, uninstall all the logitech software - plug in the webcam and reboot your computer, do not start any programs if the new hardware is recognised and allow the software to be loaded automatically.

Haveing trouble installing logitech quick cam onto my comuptor thats running windows vista

This problem was caused by a compatibility issue between Windows Vista and Logitech QuickCam Messenger.
Logitech QuickCam Messenger was created by Logitech, Inc..
Recommendation
—————-
To search for similar devices that are compatible with this version of Windows, visit the Windows Vista Hardware Compatibility List website online.
However, it’s not totally out of hope for owner of Logitech QuickCam Messenger who has upgraded to Windows Vista. The following hack will use Windows XP driver (a common trick to use non Vista compliant device) to install the webcam in Vista:
  1. Download QuickCam 8.4.8 with driver for WinXP.
  2. Install WinRAR if not already installed yet.
  3. Open the setup installer qc848enu.exe and unpack its contents to a folder. Alternatively, right click on qc848enu.exe and select “Extract to qc848enu\” option.
  4. Insert or plug in the Logitech QuickCam Messenger to a USB port if not already done so.
  5. An “Driver Software Installation” icon in systray (notification area) should appear, which will pop up detailed message if click. It should fail, and “Add Hardware Wizard” dialog window will appear. Choose to install the driver manually by instructing the Wizard to locate and look for the web cam driver inside the Drivers folder under the unpacked folder of the qc848enu.exe setup program. You can use browser button to select the folder.
  6. Windows Vista should grab the XP driver and install it properly.
  7. Download the latest version (10.5.1) of Vista compliant QuickCam software from Logitech to install the software on Vista.
  8. Run the setup (qc1051enu) normally. You may need to skip the detection of webcam near the end of installation process.
Voila, you can now use the Logitech webcam to capture images or use it in conjunction with video chat in IM programs such as Windows Live (MSN) Messenger, AIM Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Skype or run Logitech VideoCall.

i hope thist post can solve your problem

thank's
