The F1 error message pops up on the display. The cancel button silences alarm for only a few seconds. However, if I start any bake cycle the error clears. Only problem is that the heat won't shut off, even after the cycle terminates.
The Dacor Owner's manual states that the F1 code is a relay failure. Is this the cause of the range heat not shutting off? Can you suggest the proper procedure to fix the problem?
With the amount of problems you have stated ,I do believe you may have the record for the total number of problems on 1 product. If you take the most critical from the group and compare it with the cost of a new oven, you will be saving money replacing the oven. I'll walk you through the whole repair if you would like but after adding up the total It would not be fair to let you invest in a losing fight.

Warning!
To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your
appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the
connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any
troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some

appliance.

I would recommend as the price of the part is higher than I expected, possibly get a repair man to assist you with the repairs or do the replaceing.
also ask your repair man to confirm that the part fits your model and is the right one to replace.
He may possibly have a cheaper deal somewhere.e

Hi
Error
code F1 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens
due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly
itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and
then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range
Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would
be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable
is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert
the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still
there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
