DIGITAL CAMERA I PURCHASED A DIGITAL CAMERA ABOUT 3WKS AGO. I USED IT ABOUT 3 TIMES AND THE LAST TIME WHICH WAS FRIDAY, THE CAMERA TURNED ON WHEN I PUSHED THE ON/OFF BUTTON. BUT IT IMMEDIATELY TURNED BACK OFF. I CHARGED IT, TOOK THE BATTERY OUT AND PUT IT BACK IN, I LEFT IT ALONE FOR A DAY OR SO, BUT STILL THE SAME THING.

Hey SHAWNY BOO,
The camera should be covered under a manufacturers warranty, and I would have it looked at by an authorized service technician. You could contact the manufacturer and they should have either a list of authorized service centers in your area, or they should send you a shipping label so you can ship it into an authorized service center. You could also bring it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they could send it out to an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Hi, It almost sounds like the battery won't hold a charge anymore which means you need a new battery. Since the camera isn't quite a year old yet I'd suggest contacting Nikon and seeing if they'll do anything for you before you buy a new battery.

My problem with the camera is it eats batteries like crazy. I put new duracel batteries on Friday and didn't use the camera that day and took 11 pictures saturday and the batteries were dead. I have have ...

on the side of some of the battery manufacture they print a date. Make sure that even though you purchased new batteries that they are in deed new to that date. Some stay in stock or on shelves for long times. If you have a battery tester and can test the battery is good, then you know your camera has a drain. Check the manufacture of the cameras web site for firmware updates or recalls, either of which are important. A last note, dont leave batteries in this unit as if it is using power it can overheat in a bag and possibly start fire. Duracel also has an 800 number where you can call and send in the batteries and the camera and they will help replace or fix the camera if this is the case. Flickering and loss of colour

Problem now solved. I switched the camera on and off a few times and took several test photos. After a few minutes the problem resolved itself. I suspect the cause was condensation, but cannot be sure.

I had the same problem until I used digital camera batteries. They are more expensive and (in my opinion) don't last as long as they say they will but they are better for this camera than regular AA batteries. Good luck.

digital cameras have always "eaten" batteries. tho there may be an internal defect in the camera i would suggest purchasing a good set of rechargale batteries and charger for them.

Fuji finepix A600 camera - Zoom error

I had the same problem turn up after a few weeks. When I used the zoom button, the lens pushed out again and the camera worked normally for that time. I had to go through that procedure every time I turned the camera on.
I then sent it back on warranty and they replaced the lens assembly as well as the mode dial knob etc.
This camera has a 3 year warranty.
good luck...

Digital Camera error

thats the most common trouble in digital cameras, it last for around three years working in good condition. try to locate the backup battery , its a small button like battery. also try another memory card, your card maybe has a virus.
