My Whirlpool dishwasher is DU7200XS-1. The front panel is black. Are there panels underneath that are a different color? If so, how do I change the panel? I prefer white. Many thanks for your help!

I have the use&care guide for this unit. It explains how to change the panels - I also notice in ebay that you can order generic stainless ones. I'm going to remove my white panel to install the stainless.

Im not sure what new panel you are trying. But if you can still get the old one back on, you can get different panels, color, and designs from applianceart.com. they also custom cut stainless panels to fit or they have a stainless foil that can cover the dishwasher. Black and white easily available too.
the side brackets have screws and when removed the panel will slide out, some have different color on back, or take outside and paint with an epoxy appliance paint.
These guys offer many colors and designs to cover all dishwashers. They also have stainless options.

If your model number is correct you can find door panel parts at appliancepartspros.com. Type in your model number and look under Section 3, Door and Panel Parts for item 4. There are several different colors available including black and stainless. Make sure you select the correct part number. I hope this helps you.
There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest one is to check out www.applianceart.com and they have many different options for "wrapping" the front of your dishwasher. They change it often so if you don't see it, call the company becuase I know they have it.
