You don't give the model number or what you are trying to sign into? WiFi, Netflix, Cable, Parental Controls?

What is Viera Link? Viera Link allows the control of other Panasonic home AV devices via the television remote control.

By pressing the Viera Link button on the television remote, it is possible to turn on and navigate the menus of other Viera Link equipment. Please note, Viera Link requires an HDMI connection between the television and the external source.

More control functions have been added with each new generation of Viera Link compatible products. However, it is important to note that the newer functions only work if both products are from the same year of manufacture. Therefore, if an older source is used with a newer year of television, only the older functions common to both years will work.

Return the universal remote,if all ur tv universal codes of ur tv on the owner manual,don't work.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote or very close capatible to it.Yes,it cost double even tripple the prices of any niversal remotes,but these remotes are 100% it will work with ur tv,because it the same or compatible as a orginal remote would.

It is very rare that one brand such as LG, Panasonic, Sony etc. would have compatible remotes with any other brand. That way they ensure that you you only buy their equipment rather than mixing brands.
The best thing to do would be to buy a quality one-for-all remote like this...

The remote has a button on it marked pic size,aspect or zoom. You may be able to access it the through the menu button on the set. You can download the operation manual from the Panasonic web site. You can also order the remote from that site.

If you cannot get the original remote or a more compatable aftermarket remote, you might try hooking up a VCR or Cable box to the auxiliary audio/video jacks and use that input while changing channels with the VCR/cableBox.
