The speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

Spherex Xbox 5.1 Surround suound..USB does not work

If the xbox is not able to recognise the usb, it is most likely that the product is not compatible with the xbox i would look for an adapter which would take the usb connection to the xbox's analog connection, or if your speakers have a stero 2.5 connection then you can easily find an adapter to connect to the xbox's analog connection in the back, the analog connection is the red and white ports at the back!.

You don't need it, but you probably want it if you have an xbox adapter with a digital/optical connection. They are pretty inexpensive particularly if purchased online. Here is an example:

Can hear everything except the te voices in movies.

You could try hitting the dynamic compression button on the remote and that makes the highs and lows close im not sure if this will help but it might and another thing you can do is hit the front green button up more so it will be louder hope this helps
