While i enter 192.168.0.1 for dlink dir-600 router setup,the browser shows The page cant displayed

5.now the popup message will ask for username and password .
6. now the default page of the router will get opened .

You do not need the disc. Using you browser, login into the router using the default IP 192.168.0.1 unless this has been changed and you should be able to configure your router.

You should be able to configure your router using the wizards. Login is ADMIN and Password is blank unless it was changed by the user.

I looked around for some more information and what I found here doesn't sound encouraging. It is very possible that the internal webserver is damaged.
That does not mean that the hardware is damaged, but the software. So before I threw it out of the window, I would flash it with dd-wrt (which is the better firmware anyways.) Simply google "dlink 600 dd-wrt" and you will find descriptions and even videos showing you how to do it.
On a side note: Check if you still have warranty on it and try to get a replacement. Otherwise upgrade the firmware and you will have a solid working piece of hardware with way more options than before.

You need to log into the dlink router and look at the Wireless Security and you will see the password. To get into the router you will need the ip address of the router, the default user id and the password. You manual will give you this info if you do not know it.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Dlink Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Look for Manuals.

The IP address to put in your browser to get into the router is: 192.168.0.1

The default userid is: admin

Password for the wireless network, u need to pull up your browser on the mac and type at the url:192.168.0.1, it will ask for the username and pass, by default the username is admin and password, just leave it blank..once u have the setup page, on the leftside of the setup tab, u will see wireless settings and there is a step by step there on how to setup a wireless network security, now to change the password of your router, select on maintenance and there is an option that will show how to change the username and password for the router..
