Color recently changed and I cannot get it adjusted properly. Picture goes in and out.

There is no bulb to replace in your TV. Image is created by three CRT's and you don't want to replace them, just trust me on that one. It could cost you up to $1800 to do that.
All you can do is to clean lenses of those CRT's. You have to disconnect TV from the power outlet and remove rear cover. Using very soft brush and vacuum cleaner remove dust from Red, Green and Blue CRT lenses. Do not use solutions unless you got something special for optics. Solutions will leave film on the surfaces. That would improve brightness and contrast of image.
To adjust focus front grille have to be removed. Than central piece cover held by 5 screws. Behind it you can locate black plastic "box" size little smaller than cigarette pack. there are 6 adjustment "screws". Three of them are "screen". You don't touch those. Another three "focus" there is one for each color. Turn TV on. Hit "menu" button. And adjust focus for each color separately. If menu goes away hit it again.
This is the only improvements you can do.
Everything else will involve humongous amounts of cash.

If this is an old 52 projection with bad color your oil in the tubes may need to be changed, focus & screen can be adjusted to improve picture. Changing oil is something a tech defintly has to do. Call a local tech & get pricing. Then u can weigh your options. Also tubes may be weak. If they need to be changed probably won't be worth it.

Tint would be the control that will control the color balance, but this sounds like it may be deeper then that. Turn your color all the way down so that you have a black and whit picture. If the picture is still yellow then you have a problem with the blue picture tube.

If this is a CRT-based TV and it's been played most of the time, you may have a bad picture tube, especially if strong red colors bleed to the right. CRT's dim with use, unlike LCD or plasma. But it could also be trouble in the video circuits - none of this falls into the DIY category, unfortunately. High voltage involved, unless you're comfortable around it and want to try turning up the screen controls inside the TV. If you do, let me know - but "no response at all" from the external adjustments points to a more serious problem.

Tubes are probably dirty. Very expensive fix. Unless it has a warranty or is recently new, look for a local cheap one or one with a smashed screen of the same size. Easy to change the screens out and is very cost effective.

you can adjust horizontal and vertical frequency to get the proper picture. else there is some problem with your deflection circuits. if everything is ok. Check Colour chroma decoder. measure R_G_B voltages. Contact service centre for further rectification

sounds like you have a convergence problem. replace the 2 convergence chips STK 390-110.

If pic. is distorted when warm :. Suspect the FMT PCB part # 930B924002
