Between the two manuals you should be able to figure it out.

Sub woofer output port does not seem to work on my kenwood VR 407, checked sub woofer on another system - works fine, any easy solutions?

Is the 407 set up to drive the unknown sub. It's not just plug n play.

The manual will guide you, around page 15. Also refer to your subwoofer manual. Try retrevo.com for that one.

Have a VR-407 receiver, all of a sudden there's no audio coming out of the speakers from the TV. Also, DVD, tuner and CD player have no sounds. Speakers are only a couple years old.

Check for basic things like speakers being turned off or switched to speaker b from a and the tape monitor switch being on. Larry's Electronics.

I have a new Samsung 47 in LCD and Kenwood DVD purchased in 2005. I am trying to hook both up to get surround sound from my Kenwood VR-606. My signal is coming from a HD cable box. I'm using HDMI from the...

Without additional equipment it can't be done. As i see your VR-606 pure analog device, and you trying to somehow use 5.1 sound from HD STB that is on HDMI put on RCA connectors of your VR-606. It is impossible without converter from HDMI to Analog audio or something likethis, best way to buy new receiver with HDMI input and TV neither Receiver with HDMI out oportunity. Then you will have your home cinema. In your current setup probably you can play only with stereo from your stb.
