normally there is a very course thread that is gummed up by burnt fat and grease
sometimes spraying oven cleaner around the glass and into the thread will loosen it up but even then you will require considerable force to move the glass in the socket
the replacement bulb has to be a special pyrex bulb glass as normal bulbs will not last past the first bake
generally the grease and fats from cooking burn in the thread of the glass and lock it up
try using oven cleaner at the base and see it that releases the burnt grease
remember to use only Oven bulbs as regular bulbs will not stand the heat in an oven
it is a very course thread that gets bound up with burnt fats
use grips or soak the area with oven cleaner to loosed the carbon up
only use special oven bulbs as normal glass will break from the heat of the oven
when you go to the service agent to get the correct bulbs ( (need to be pyrex glass ones as normal bulbs will not stand the oven heat) ,ask them how to remove
the fat from cooking gets in the glass threads and then goes to carbon , making it very hard to turn the covers
maybe a oven cleaner sprayed around the glass may help release the threads
There should be a glass globe that covers bulb. It either screws out or is held in with a stiff hinged wire. Remove globe and then bulb. Sometimes bulb will break trying to get it out. Be sure to unplug unit when trying to get a broken bulb out.
Oven Lighting Warning: Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb:
- Switch off the oven!
- Disconnect from the electricity supply.
Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cover. Changing the oven light bulb/cleaning the glass cover 1.Remove the glass cover by turning it anti-clockwise and then clean it.
2.If necessary: replace with 25 watt, 230 V, 300 °C heat-resistant oven lighting.
3.Refit the glass cover.
In general you slide out the front glass cover on the light, which generally just sits in metal slots or clips. Then remove the globe, which commonly is an ES type so you screw it out anti-clockwise.
There are 2-3 sizes of oven globe so take the old one along to the hardware store for a match. Don't buy a standard globe, it will fail, oven globes are tougher.
