It does have a set button in the slide area, under rewind just get the codes for your dvd player out of the manual

Try the Sylvania codes. If none of those work you will need to resort to the trial and error method (code can range from 000 to 141).

What you need to do is to buy an rf modulator they are like $20 and it will change the coaxle (the screw on connection) to rca the yellow white and red plugs
