I have scrabble that worked on windows 95 now I have windows 7 is there a patch for it?

Chances are that it will not work. Contact the manufacturer and check their Support pages. There may be a download but if it's Windows 95 era I doubt it.

Insert the CD, and navigate to your CD/DVD drive (usually D:\, however, this is not always the case, look under "My Computer")go into the CD, and you should find a program named something like "Scrabble.exe" (if you don't see this file, comment on this question, telling me what files and folders are on the disc) right-click on this file, and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility" give your computer a while to sort itself out, and then select "Try Recommended Settings"

First of all download compatiable driver for that printer for win 7and install it

I was informed there was no patch. The software was formated for windows 95 and will only work with that software. you can pick up a computer for less than 100 with that old windows system-- that is what I did.

I tried the solution below and it worked for me. I am running Windows 7, 64-bit

It is an rar file and not the typical zip. The freeware program 7-Zip can extract it if do not have a zip program that will work (Free download from most Freeware sites).

Extract the Scrabblecomplete.exe file and copy it to the directory in which the program resides. Let it overwrite the original. You will no longer need to insert the disc to run the program and it should work without freezing. Mine has been fine for the last few days of extended playing.

Unfortunately not all games will work with newer versions of Windows even with the compatibility modes. Atari Scrabble is an older game, and Atari stopped providing updates for the game some time ago. At this point your best bet is to find a version of Scrabble that is compatible with Windows 7. Microsoft has a Windows 7 Compatibility page on their site. The website address that is below lists another companies version of Scrabble that will work with Windows 7. Check out your local PC game retailers or the Internet to find and purchase a copy or search to see if there are other versions that will work with Windows 7.

Follow the directions to enable Compatibility Mode in Windows 2000 and try running your application in compatibility mode for windows 95.

1. Log on as Administrator.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK, where %SystemRoot% is the drive and folder in which Windows is installed (eg C:Windows): regsvr32 %systemroot%apppatchslayerui.dll

1. Log on as Administrator.
2. Right-click the shortcut (for scrabble), and then click Properties.
3. Click Compatibility.
4. Click to select the Run in Compatibility Mode check box to enable Compatibility-mode support for the program.
5. Click Windows 95 compatibility mode in the drop-down box.
6. Click OK to save the changes.
7. Double-click the shortcut to run the program.
