Question about Samsung Cell Phones

I would like to set up a phone lock on my samsung and do not know the password that is already protecting it. I have already been through to Orange who have given me a new pin lock and puk code so i have reset those details. How can I change the password the is already set on the phone lock? THanks

You can't lock your phone unless you already know your lock password. The default is usally 0000 or the last four digits of your cell phone number

sir go to the settings > to the security option and select the phone protection to on. enter the new password repeat the password to lock the cell phone when you switch off your cellphone enter the password to unlock....................

I locked my instinct phone and forget the password i need to know the defult password

default passwords are normally 0000 or the last 4 digits of the account holders social security number. however, if you have already set a custom password on your phone, the default will be of no use.

Remove the sim-card and switch on the phone .. and press this code *2767*2878# .. the phone will restore the factory settings.

default password for samsang E840 is "00000000" ( Eight zeroes).
