What brand and model is this Safe ?
It is perhaps doing the right thing 'Safe guarding' as you probably have a wrong key and code OR the battery is dead
This is a bummer. The batteries go out on these and the key is the only way in then. You can drill out the key lock and manually pull back the rods but it would cost more to re-lock it than buy a new one.
A jiggler key might save the safe (no pun intended) see a video here and check out related.
my last thought is if you wanted to pull off the face of the safe and find the two leads that run to the servo you could jump the wires with a 9V battery and it might pull the afe open.
