I am keep on trying to download the cam dvd player to play a dvd movie but its not starting the downloading and appart from this is there anyone else alternative.

check and see if the dvd player needs to be cleaned. you can pick up contaminates from other dvd's or cd's get yourself a dvd disk cleaner and run it thru seveveral times . and try to play your money then.

If you need software to play movies (you are missing codecs)
Download VLC player, it is free, open source, and will play just about every media file

if the DVD can detect any disk that you insert but just cannot play the movie
try to download VLC player or you can download codec so you can use the windows media player to play the movie

not sure whether its a problem with the drive or a problem with windows media player. Take a can of air and blow some onto the laser of the dvd drive, this will make sure that there is no dirt or dust on the laser.

Once you do that put the dvd back into the drive. Give it about 20-30 seconds and then see if it tries to pull up the movie if it does and your getting errors from windows media player then we know that the drive is working cause its seeing the movie properly.

At that point, I would suggest downloading the latest version of windows media player.

Go here to download the latest version of Windows Media Player 11.

After doing that and installing it, try playing your movie again, in fact try several movies just to make sure. Windows Media player may want to download Codecs, if it does then let it. This will allow it to recognize dvds better and quicker.

If the codecs are updated and you still can't get it to see and play movies then I would suggest using a different dvd player such as Cyberlink PowerDVD located on this page:

my Portable DVD Player just stop playing movies. i put a movie on and it want read or it will start the movie snd just stop and want play no more

most of the movie if download from the net protected my different formating keeping people from burning and selling coppies. as long as your dvd play dvd is working fine. I got lots of those downloaded movies from a friend myself some play and some dont. I bet you if you go through most of your copy dvd some will play and some dont. Your sysytem may read some dvd VS mine may read some of your's that you system dont reads, you will not find a unit" DVD" will deformat the protection copy rights. I have 850.00 unit almost top of the line still wont read lots of copy DVD.

firt you have runed your movies where? in pc or dvd device? if you have runed in pc you need a new video program that opens the movies. here are one of them the most powerful that opens mostly dvd formats, storm codec 7 . you can download from internet just write in the google search bar and is finished. if you have raned your movies in a dvd device .. well not all this dvd have the capability to run all the formats so you must change formats first in your pc that is compatible with your dvd player and after that make a dvd copy and the problem is solved

try to buy a very cheap usa dvd player the formating for us movies and uk movies are different and players different also try this first

you need to select that play option on the dvd players menu!
