ERROR-No DIsc Few DVDs are not reading and displying an error meesgae-No DISK.Same disk i am able to play it in my TP. Could you pls tell me is there any settings do i need to change in my DVD player?

The most common reason is either a dirty or bad Optical Pickup unit in the player which is what reads the disc, and you will get no disc, cannot read disc etc.

I have 1 sony DVD Model No-DAV-DZ150k .When i have select DVD mode so dest error show on VFD Disply .Pls tell me what is problem in DVD.

1. Start the DVD player, make sure no CD/DVD should be there inside.
2. Bring up the System Menu
3. Goto Preferences, press 138931.
4. Up/Down arrow keys to select the region 0
5. Exit the screen.

You can now play DVDs of any region.

try going to LGs website and look under support/downloads for a Firmware update, or any other updates, and install them (usually by downloading a file, then burning a DVD or CD on your PC to insert in the player.

its the disk drive xbox will fix for 100 dollars this just happend to me finally i called them and they told me its the disk drive and soon it wont read dvds either

Make sure that the DVD Disc is of the format that your DVD recorder can read. For example, if your recorder specifically requires a DVD -R type disk, it will puke on a DVD +R disk.

Sounds like either a dirty or weak laser/lens. Pls try cleaning with a CD disc cleaner or manually using cotton buds (if the eye is accessible).

A couple of things To try.

1:) The DVD Player May be Region encoded, can only play certain region Dvds. ** Try different Disks**

2:) The Disk May Be Dirty-Scratched ( Towards The Centre )
** Clean The Disk With A Soft Lint-Free Cloth**

3:) The Laser Head may have a speck of dust or debris on it.
** Try a Laser Cleaning CD**

I have the same problem with some of the Discs I have burned. Most people say the power supply, but I have 2 of these units so I swapped the power supply to see if that was it. The problem stayed in the one machine, ruling out the power supply.
