Use thin flat blade screw driver to separate the case, starting at the bottom edge and work your way around. The monitor is held together with plastic finger hooks, easy to snap together but hard to separate, you will be breaking some of the fingers in the process.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ACER monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

SOURCE: Acer AL1916W 19" LCD Monitor '' no power''

There was a busted fusible coil in series with the main line supply. Changed it with an ordinary fuse. There are available voltages for 5V and 12 volts but still there is no power indication on the panel and never turns on. I checked the backlight but no output power. the system control has power supply of 3.26 volts. What really the problem of this unit?

I have the acer AL 1916w monitor behind the monitor there are four holes available . i want to mount this monitor on the wall . so pls help how will i mount on wall by using this hole or any possibilities...

They are Metric screw M4 or M5 from HD or LOWE's,
When you buy a wall mounting kit, it should come with the monting screw, do some research to what kind of mounting kit you are going ti buy that will have the mounting pattern that fit your monitor or if it has variable pattern that will accomodate your monitor.

What is your refresh rate set to? At the desktop, with no windows open, right click the mouse and a dialog window will open. Click on properties, then the settings tab at the top, then another window will open. Click on monitor then at the bottom of the new window click on advanced. Check the refresh rate and change it to a lower rate and see what happens. You might even raise it. I hope this helps.
