You can interface the GP30 to the 1715 and get Lat/Lon readings where the cursor is. The GPS has extra wires in the power cable. The 1715 will require a NMEA cable pn 000-154-028. Connect the white GPS wire to the yellow radar wire and the blue GPS wire to the green radar wire.
If you have no radar targets, go to longest range 24 miles, gain full, rain and sea minimum, do you have noise, if so, need magnetron, if not, need cable from display to dome.
i have a furuno 1700 radar ,when i switch it on it goes to stand by ,when i press the standby button you can see it scanning but no land appears cheers alan
