Bosch diswasher stuck in drain mode?

Check the filters for debris. If clear, problem may be a blocked pump

The water does not circulate throughout the washer. Is the pump bad? The full cycle will run without cleaning.

Before we jump to conclusions, you can try to clear element that discharges the water. The wholes in these units can become clog do to the detergent as well as food. Most Bosch units allow you to unscrew these pretty easily. Blow through them, or use a plastic tooth pick to clear any obstructions or both. Before you reattach, turn on dishwasher and listen to hear how much water is shooting out at the discharge points. Most Bosch have two discharge points one for the top and of course one for the bottom. Reattach units and Run dishwasher.

Should this fail it could very well be the circulating pump.

Our Bosch diswasher smells (foul odor) after a wash cycle.

Make sure the drainage hose is not pushed all the way through the gooseneck in the pipe. Doing so will bypass the standing water which prevents sewer gasses from escaping into the dishwasher.

Dishwasher gets no water

It is no fuse in dishwasher.
Solution1: Check if the inlet line to d/w is open(usually it located under the sink)
Solution2: To rich a fill valve filter:
1. Shut off water to d/w
2.open kick panel under front door of d/w
3.disconect the water line on left hand side
4.pull filter from center of water valve by nose pliers
5. clean the filter by old toothbrush under the sink
6.put everything back
7. if does not help the water valve needs to be replace

Bosch SHU43C installed in 2003

My Bosch SHU43C had the same exact problem. I found the below solution on this site. Perhaps you already seen it.

My SHU43C is just over 3 years old. I had a similar problem recently. First, there were a few floods. Then, the Bosch only drained non-stop. Even when I used the Cancel Drain buttons the drain pump would run without stopping. When I tried to run one of the cleaning cycles, no water entered the machine. Corrective: I removed the base plate, and saw that the red plastic floatation device was in the up position. Using a flashlight and a wooden spoon, I lightly toggled the red float stem down. I pushed regular clean cycle and kept toggling with the red float stem until the rinse water started to enter the machine (turning the red stem seems to also actuate a step in the program). Now the dishwasher runs normally. Voila!

Bosch shu43c

You wont be able to blow through as these have a one way valve, if you put water in the dishwasher and lower the pipe down to the floor does water flow through? if so then its a pump problem and you may need a new pump, or try taking it of and see if there is anything traped in it sometimes you get a pip or a bit of broken glass that may prevent it from working. The pump is the bluey coloured object that has the gley outlet connected, it normally has three screws in the back. make sure you unplug machine first.
