Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. Heres how you can connect your controller to your PS3.

1. Press the tiny Reset Button on the back of the controller

2. Plug in the USB Connection wire

3. Restart Console

4. When loaded, Press the PS Button

5. Disconnect the USB wire

Then it should have recognised the controller and auto-assigned, hope this works for you

try ths one. You have to plug in the usb receiver (looks like a usb storage that you would use for pc). Make sure you have batteries in controller turn it on and press home. red light will flash on usb receiver until controller is paired with it. Thanks

I Got an speedlink SL-4451-SBK for ps3 and it wont connect

This works: Turn ps3 on. Plug the controller into the usb cable and into ps3. Then plug the dongle into other usb port. After a short time the dongle will flash quickly (this means it's in pairing mode - when the dongle flashes slowly it's too late). Press the PS/Home button as soon as you see the dongle fast flashing. All the LED's on the controller will begin to flash and after a short time one (or two) will remain solid. Immediately disconnect the charging usb lead from the controller and again the LED's will flash, push the PS/Home button again and after a short time one or two will remain solid. The controller should now be working. If the controller fails to respond repeat this process but make sure that you disconnect the dongle and reinsert (so you can see the fast flashing lights and try again).

Hi Shiman,

Are you seeing any flashingred/yellow lights?

If so this is the red lighterror and you will find that is why the system will not turn on.

Why Does It Happen?

The GPU and the CPU are the 2 main chips in the system and they deal with allof the number crunching however they can get very hot and if they loseconnection the system will either freeze up or turn off and give you the redflashing light.

How To Fix?

The key is stopping the heat build up and you can either send it in and theywill fix it for you.

Bear in mind that for the PS3red flashing light error you will be waiting for about 4 weeks and itwill also cost you $150 for the repair bill!

Other Ways To Fix?

You can also use a good PS3Repair Guide to fix it and this will show you how to stop the heatbuild up with a few household items.

Just make sure that you get a good guide there are some good ones out there!

Hope this helps and any questions let me know?

MY controler wont turn on when fully charged and it does responed to the ps3

At the back top of the remote behind the 4 red lights there is a tiny pin-hole. With your PS3 on, press the big PS button on your remote, then push the button inside this little hole; a pencil lead may work. This is the only time you need to do this.

Good luck and please give me a good rating if i've helped you.

My controller won't recognize the system, and i have no cable to connect them together, can i get a quick fix?

Yep,

Eventually you will need a cord to charge it, if you push the PS button and the red lights flash it means that it has at least some charge.

With your PS3 turned on and at the main screen; look at the top of your controller where you see the numbers 1-4. Behind that (pretty much on the back top) you'll see a tiny pin hole. Get something to push the button in that hole when you hit the PS button and this will automatically sinc up your controller.

If this doesn't work, get a cable and connect the controller to the PS3 and push this button again.

If I've helped you, please give me 4 thumbs up!

Cant connect a big ben interactive controller to a playstation 3

bigben controller and ps3
i had this problem with bigben mega pack bought with ps3 nov08
the problem is caused i find that the sony wireless controller supplied
has been already allocated as number 1 controller, this has to be changed while the bigben matches
the FIX:
boot the machine with sony controller and go into
settings\accessory settings\reassign controllers\ and re-assign the sony as number 3
(use left stick to move numbers up/down)
plug in the bigben receiver unit into a usb slot and then switch on the bigben
now the receiver light should now stop flashing and the bigben now has a single light agains number 1
go again into re-assign controllers and change the bigben to number 2
then re-assign the sony controller from number 3 to number 1
close down system
re-boot using the sony PS button (the bigben PS button does not boot PS3)
the sony should now be indicating that it is again number 1
the bigben receiver unit should have a steady red light but
the bigben will have all the lights flashing - click the PS button and they will stop
it now should only showing one light next to number 2, so is assigned as number 2 conroller
thats it
'
Note: I wanted to use 2 controllers for the game 'littlebigplanet'
Now if the two controllers are on, the game asks to assign a profile for the
other controller when it opens, so then you choose another user (that u have created)
Then another rag doll drops into the pod that is controlled only by the bigben (user2)

Controller still wont work

Hmm. I think i'll need a bit more info please.

When you reset your PS3 and the system's light goes red and you hit the PS button your controller the four lights just flash? Is that right? The only time your controller will "connect is when you plug it in with USB?

Try this. Turn your PS3 on. Press the reset button on the back of your controller and hold it for a few seconds, then press the PS button to see if it connects then. If it doesn't you could try removing the internal battery from the controller and putting it back in. That might clear up any settings that were saved in it.

Let me know how it goes.
