there are pre determine WEP (default) depending on the wireless router but majority of wireless routers have them WEP personalize...

Connect your router to computer with lan cable then you can access it with default link http://192.168.1.1 then type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password" then you can see settings of router. I recommend you use WPA or WPA2 encryption, it is much stronger than WEP.

Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) can be a 64-bit key with 10 hexadecimal digits, a 128-bit WEP key with 26 hexadecimal digits or a 152-bit WEP key with 32 hexadecimal digits. This encryption will prevent other users from connecting to a wireless network using your own WEP key. It will also protect your wireless transmissions/communications from being accessed or received by other users.
NOTE: Make sure to change the wireless settings of either Wireless-A or Wireless-G depending on the standard your network is using.
152-bit WEP key only applies to 5GHz 802.11a Wireless enabled network.
To setup WEP Wireless Security on your Linksys router follow the steps below.
Setting-Up the Linksys Router to use WEP
Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
Step 2:
When the router’s web-based setup page appears, click Wireless then click WirelessSecurity.
Step 3:
Look for SecurityMode and select WEP.

Look for the Encryption drop down menu and select 152 bits.
Step 5:
Look for Passphrase and type a wireless network password of your choice, then click Generate. In this example “MySecretKey” was used.
NOTE: You should come up with a password that is unique for your network and is a combination of numbers and letters up to 16 characters.
Step 6:
When you click Generate, the result will be a string of random characters.
Step 7:
Look for TXKey and select any number to determine which key you’ll be using. In this example, we selected 1.

Step 8:
Copy Key1 since 1 was selected under TX Key.
NOTE: Do not give this key to anyone. This will be your wireless network’s key.

WEP stands for Wireless Encryption Protocol and it is the wireless key for your router.
The length of a WEP key depends on the type of WEP security (called "encryption") utilized:

• 40- / 64-bit WEP: 10 digit key
• 104- / 128-bit WEP: 26 digit key
• 256-bit WEP: 58 digit key

You will need to find the WEP key in your router's administration page and then enter it on your xbox under the system settings then network settings.

Option1:

You can find the WEP key of your Wireless network after login to the Router. The WEP key is saved in the Router. Check the User Guide of the Router for the instruction to login to your Router.

Option 2:

If you are using a Computer with your wireless network and if the Wireless Key (WEP key) is saved in the Computer than you can use any application like "Wireless Key Viewer" or SIW for view the saved WEP key in the Computer.

First off make sure your wireless connection is working
1. On the Setup tab of the Router’s web-based utility, click the Enable radio button next to WEP. Then click the Edit WEP Settings button.
2. You will see the 2.4GHz, 54g, Wireless-G (WEP) screen (Figure C-1). Next to Default Transmit Key, select which WEP key (1-4) will be used when the
Router sends data. Make sure the receiving device is using the same key.
3. For the WEP Encryption drop-down box, select the level of WEP encryption you wish to use, 64-bit 10 hex digits or 128-bit 26 hex digits. Higher encryption levels offer higher levels of security, but due to the complexity
of the encryption, they may decrease network performance.
4. Instead of manually entering WEP keys, you can enter a Passphrase in the Passphrase field. This Passphrase is used to generate one or more WEP keys. It is case-sensitive and should not be longer than 16 alphanumeric characters. (This Passphrase function is compatible with Linksys wireless
products only. If you want to communicate with non-Linksys wireless products, enter the WEP key manually on the non-Linksys wireless products.)
After you enter the Passphrase, click the Generate button to create WEP keys.

Note: All Wireless-G and 802.11b devices in your network must use the same Passphrase or WEP key.
5. WEP keys enable you to create an encryption scheme for wireless LAN transmissions. If you are not using a Passphrase, then manually enter a set of values in each Key field. (Do not leave a key field blank, and do not enter all zeroes. These are not valid key values.) If you are using 64-bit WEP encryption, then the key must be exactly 10 hexadecimal characters in length. If you are using 128-bit WEP encryption, then the key must be exactly 26 hexadecimal characters in length. Valid hexadecimal characters are “0”-“9” and “A”-“F”.
6. Check all the values, and click theApply button to save your WEP settings and return to the Setup screen. To cancel any changes you’ve entered on this page, click the Cancel button. To get more information about the features, click the Help button.
