I just bought a used compaq armada m700 notebook. I can not get it to do anything except all it does is say its loading theFreeDOS No KERNEL SYS BUT DOES NOT LOAD ANYTHING

To get to the recovery partition on your Compaq Armada M700, turn on the notebook and press F11 repeatedly until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. Then, follow the on-screen instructions.
If your notebook originally came with Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows, try pressing F10 to enter recovery instead of F11.
I am running a Armada M700 with a Hitachi HTS541060G9AT00 60GB Hard Drive - Ultra ATA-100, 5400 RPM, 8MB. The driver that is loaded in mine is on both primary and secondary is atapi.sys. This driver is also installed on the Intel 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller, along with intelide.sys. The main difference is I am running Window XP Pro SP2. But I believe that they should use the same driver.

If
your system meets the minimum system requirements, it'll be your actual
system resources (memory, CPU, ...) that could impose limits on your FL
Studio projects. The faster your CPU the more channels you will be
able to run simultaneously and/or the more effects you will be able to
use. The more memory you have the larger the samples you will be able
to load.
Sounds like you may have a problem with the internal power supply box? I am not sure but that may be at least something for you to have checked out. If the fan is not spinning this is usually a sign this may be what the problem is. GOOD LUCK!
