How do i set up the carburetor on a sthil ts400

The ts400 has 2 adjustment screws. First pop out the rubber gromet to see the screws. The one on the left is the mixture, the one on right is the idle Turn the idle screw in a coup[le turns, this will help the saw run a little fast Now screw the mixture screw in till it bottoms .now back it out 1 and a half turn. Press the decom and pull it thru with the , the choke on a couple times, now pull up onthe decom. Try to start it. when it starts, let it runat a fast speed moving the choke off a click or two when the motor warms up, idle the engine as muchas possible, then adjust the mixture screw in or out torun the best. Squeeze the trigger if engine faulters, it's to lean, back mixture screw out slowly, till it suits you. Reinsert the gromet.

I found a parts diagram for a Stihl TS400 CutQuick concrete saw here: http://www.sawagain.com/stihl-concrete-saws-1/ . My sthil saw ts400 when is its runing my blade keeps spining all the time and not stop

Try a little light oil when stationary and unplugged. Place oil centre and turn by hand back and forth. Take outside and protecting your clothing and anything in near vicinity switch on fir about min, switch off then in again then off. Switch off, hopefully solved.

Ts400 doesn't start up, used to start but when it warm up turn off. now it'll nat start at all.

Sounds like it is Over heating to fast take to the shop and see if they can find you a part or you can try changing the fuel in it and set it in full throttle for about 5 seconds and do this for a minute.

Standard settings: screw both in fully, unscrew H screw 1 full turn anticlockwise. unscrew the L screw 3/4 of a turn anticlockwise.

Stihl two stroke oil mixed ar 50-1, do not use cheap two stroke oil or oil for designed for out board engines.

I fitted a new carb kit to my stihl ts400 also new piston,rings,barrel,plug and all filters and still will not run has good spark but also has strong kick back for some reason

Are you using new fresh fuel ?

I believe the arrow must be installed facing the exhaust.

turn the idle screw all the way in and turn out 1 and 1/2 turns the air mixture screw the same then adjust the air mixture to get best running performance at lowest RPM.
