Download K-Lite Codec Pack (either Mega or Full) from http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm. The codecs enable you to play all types of audio and video files. After installing the codec, right click anywhere on the top blank space of Windows Media Player (latest version). Choose 'Options' then click on 'File Types". Choose 'All'. Now you can play all types of audio and video files. You can also use VLC Player. Its a light freeware and can play almost all types of audio and video files.

How do I burn files to a disk to play in DVP3140

I'm assuming you're using a recent-build Windows PC. Here's the link from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/burn-a-cd-or-dvd-in-windows-media-player. Media player must be recent enough in version to burn disk media--otherwise, you must obtain a software product that will burn media for you. Your PC must also be equipped with a CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray burner. CD-R disks easily prove available from discount stores, music stores, electronics stores, or online.

As for compatibility, Phillips indicates that CD-R is compatible. I hope that you don't have a problem. That depends upon the media manufacturer and how its product interacts with the Phillips. Compatibility likely won't prove a problem. Certainly, check that out before the next trip....

Cannot play says please connect to compliant software and update license information

Hi,

This issue may occur if the license for the track you are trying to play has expired on the device. If you currently subscribe to a music subscription service, connect the device and sign into the account to refresh your license to allow for playback. You may need to do this once during each billing period to listen to the subscription music you have transferred. If you are no longer a subscriber to the service where you downloaded the file from, you can delete the song from your portable player to prevent this error from occurring each time you try to play the song back.
If the issue happens with all the songs in the Player, format the Player and transfer the songs again using the Software or by dragging using the Windows Explorer.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My nexter mp3 turns on but cant listen to music

Not sure if either of these helps, but hope so:
1-After you boot up/turn on, is the word "Music" showing in the window? If not, use the right arrow button to move the menu to Music, then hit the M button and it will start playing.
2-Mine (797) has a bad headset hole so only plays one ear unless I push up in the plug wire. I just put a rubberband tightly around the plug and pull the band up over the top to pull it into a position where I can hear both earsets.

Hi there,

Well problem seems in the file format of the mp3 player, please let me know in which file format do you copy the songs into your mp3 player? make sure the file format is supported by your mp3 player. (when you play these files in windows media player it played because window media player played all(maximum) file formats.)
post further comments for more information....

Good Luck!!

GPX MW3337 sync problem

1- Check that your MP3 Player's File system is OK, you can do that using the DOS command (chkdsk /f). 2- Re-install your Windows Media Player 11. 3- Don't forget to update your system, too.
