1) The recoil has broken and needs replacing - remove recoil and inspect
2) the valves need adjusting - 0.015 inches on intake and exhaust, if not running right 0.020 inches for exhaust.
3) The piston rings are shot - To check remove the cylinder head and add a tablespoon of oil to the top of the piston. Leave overnight. If it disappears you need to replace the piston rings.
check air fuel mixture screw on the carb possibly air fuel ratio is not proper adjust it or check if your spark plug is oil wet after a brief run (otherwise should be brownish ) that means oil is leaking in the piston head due to worn out piston rings have to replace them
