start > all programs > control panel > administrative tools > computer management device manager, right click very top of directory tree and scan for hardware changes..........If thats not working try... going down tree to universal serial bus controller, click little arrow to the left, and expand sub-directories, right click on standard enhance USB host controller and roll back driver..reboot computer after it roles back drivers. hopefully theres no problem but if so, try..going to acer.com, search downloads. good luck!!!

First of all check whether the touch pad is lock (Fn+F7(?)). If you use an external mouse/ usb mouse, check usb cable connection, as long as you didn't drop it on the floor it should be ok. If the built in touch pad doesn't work, could be caused by ribbon cable connectivity that has dirt or moist. To fix it need to open the upper case
You don't have a web-cam on your Acer Aspire 5532. Sorry, I actually bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5532 with Windows 7. It's really nice but that little black circle at the top of your screen is not a camera. I do believe you can have one installed though.
