The audio quality is very poor on my Camileo S20. The camera operator can be heard very loudly on the video playback but the subject in front of the camera can barely be heard unless their face is literally 1 foot away from the lens and speaking loudly. Its totally opposite of how you would want it to be. Is there an adjustment for microphone sensativity?

SOURCE: Records fine but playsback with poor picture

The video heads are dirty. Clean the heads and your picture should be fine. If a cleaning tape does not clear up the problem, try running a blank tape throught the unit from beginning to end in play mode.

Keep us posted.

SOURCE: how to fix not good video call connection always on skype

Try the ManyCam.

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

After you install it you can go to ManyCam's website to learn how to use it on skype at:

I have a Yashica,Samurai Video 8 KX-77 Video Camera Recorder when I playback the picture rolls what can I do ?

If you are experiencing issues with the playback on your Yashica Samurai Video 8 KX-77 Video Camera Recorder, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Clean the playback heads: Use a head-cleaning cassette or a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the playback heads. Dirty heads can cause playback issues and poor picture quality.
  2. Check the tapes: Ensure that the video tapes you are trying to play are in good condition and not damaged. Inspect the tape for any signs of damage or deformation that could affect playback. If the tapes are damaged, you may need to try a different tape or have the damaged tapes repaired.
  3. Adjust the tracking: Use the tracking control on the camera recorder to adjust the playback tracking. The tracking control helps align the playback heads with the tape tracks for optimal playback quality. Experiment with adjusting the tracking to see if it improves the picture quality.
  4. Test with different tapes: If possible, try playing different video tapes to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is specific to certain tapes or if it is a broader issue with the camera recorder itself.
  5. Seek professional service: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to seek professional repair or servicing for the camera recorder. Contact a reputable camera repair shop or the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

What camcorder would be suitable for producing wedding videos?

Canon HV40 is a good option but only as a backup option for your main paid and good gigs you can take a DVX100B. The Toshiba Camileo S20 offers Full HD 1080p video recordings and is your cheapest option to HD. I'd say that a decent Sony or Panasonic camera is your next option if you're looking for Wedding Cinematography even better performance. They have many HD cameras. But the actual concept is the budget and you can look up all this in the net and have very nice offers doing it.

Does anyone have low volume during playback on the toshiba camileo x100?

you can make the audio louder. see about raising the volume and then when playback make sure it's not too loud. If that doesn't work then the cameras is set low in the audio. see manufacturer if they have a solution. or in the camera see if there is a volume control, maybe it's set low.

Camileo s20 hissing sound on video playback

This sound may be the AGC (AUTO GAIN CONTROL) maxing out in a quiet recording situation.
Try again with some closer sound to be recorded.

FinePix jv100 camera audio records faintly and is scratchy on playback, and after downloading on various computers. Thanks for your help. John

Compact digital cameras such as this do not have high quality audio recording capabilities.
Given that the quality won't be very good to begin with, some things to watch out for when you are recording video:
  • Get as close to the subject as possible.
  • Make sure that your do not obstruct the microphone while you are recording.

From the Fuji web page for this camera, you can see that the microphone is on the lower-right of the front of the camera. Make sure that your hand, fingers, and clothing do not obstruct or come into contact with the microphone while you are recording video.
