You might try taking out the batteries and wiping the area dry. It may be that the batteries are not getting a dry connection. Also, make sure the batteries are replaced correctly. There is usually a diagram with the battery placement on the lid where the batteries are installed. Also, sometimes the soap dispenser can get clogged. In that case, make sure to take the batteries out and then run hot water thru the area where the soap comes out. Hope this helps out.

Blinking light

The issue is the dispensing unit you have is a sanitizer dispenser, not a soap dispenser. The adapter collar on the bottle is the issue. Soap dispensers use a GRY collar, sannitizers use an LBL collar. There should be a sticker on the dispensing unit that says "LBL" or "GRY". Try removing the collar from a sanitizer bottle and place it on your soap bottle......should work fine. In short, make sure your letter code on the bottle mathces the letter code on the dispenser.

Soap no longer dispenses automatically.

Mine would not work with the Costco brand (Kirkland) batteries. The light indicator came on but the pump did not work. Once I replaced them with Durcell, the pump started working. I'm guessing Energizer brand would work just as good.

I just bought a brand new dishwasher and the soap dispenser opens but the soap is still in the dispenser clamped up like sand. It doesn't happen every time. The same thing started happening with my old...

Try using the soap tablets instead. The frigidaire units use a small cylinder to actuate
the soap dispenser and if just a little too much soap is used the latch will bind and not
release. Alternatively, make sure the dispenser is only about half to 2/3 full if you need to
use powder detergent. This is a common problem with the frigidaire/ whirlpool/galax/kenmore
models. Hope this is useful.

I have a Simple Human 14 oz sensor Soap Dispenser

This is what I found in the Simplehuman FAQ's. I had to wait about 30 minutes for the light to stop blinking, but it seemed to work for me.

If the pump is unresponsive or the blue light is flashing, fresh batteries should resolve this issue. Please power off the pump completely. Once the pump is turned off, remove the old batteries. Please wait for the pump to reset (until the flashing light stops and preferably letting it rest overnight) before you install the new ones.
