From Celcius the formula is Deg. C divided by 5 multiply by 9 and plus 32.

From Fahrenheit the formula is Deg F minus 32 divide by 9 multiply by 5.

To change the actual readout to Fahrenheit you will have to either change the instrument system because the graduations are different - 180 degrees from freezing to boiling in Fahrenheit and 100 degrees for Centigrade. With a bit of a steady hand and perhaps the correct decals you might be able to change the characters on the gauge to reflect the new scale.

thanks. i was informed by GM that there should be a metric switch on the instrament panel but so far i cant seem to find it. seems kinda odd that a GM car would not give you the option of a fahrenheit readout

SOURCE: Changing temp display

Hold down the ambient temp button and the temp down button at the same time for 5 seconds. that should work. It has auto air right, not temp adjusting knobs that rotate.

SOURCE: I cant figure out how to change my thermometer back from celcius to fahrenheit

Make sure that the odometer is set to miles and not kilometers. Hold the button down (while in the regular odometer setting, not the "trip odometer" setting) until it changes to miles. The temperature display will automatically change to fahrenheit. We just figured this out today.

How do I change the outside temp. setting from Fahrenheit to Celcius on a 2006 F150 crewcab. The setting is within the trip display.

Everything in the manual says you have to take it to the dealer to be reprogrammed from F to C readings.

I do not recall a setting in the mini display that gives the options like the previous MY truck's overhead displays.

I can't change the temp. reading from celcius to regular temp.

Check the manual, you have to hold down Ambiant and the Temp Up button for 5 secs or something.
