Hi, I have an epson c43ux printer and haven't used it for about 3 years and a couple of days ago when i bought the ink catridges it doesn't print any other colours apart from blue and purple. The black is very fuzzy and hardly visible. What could be the problem and how do i solve it?

hi...

the problem lies with the catridge(ink).you might have not fit properly.
there is a protective cover in the outlet of the catridge please check weather you removed it.

Basically your printer says that you need to replace the waste ink pads. If this happens for the first time to this printer you can just reset the counter using SSC Service Utility (http://www.ssclg.com/epson.shtml) or if it happened more than once you shoul first replace the ink pads and then reset the counter or the printer may overflow. That's it.

Many problems regarding Ink with Epson relate to using cheap ink consumables. I recommend you buy original Epson black ink catridge. I know its more expensive but you should see the black ink clear.

Be sure to run head alignment and clean printer option first with the current black ink then replace with the new original Epson ink catridge
