Well first try flushing the engine with a motor flush incase the noise is from sticking lifters..than when you change the oil i recomend lucas oil treatment..it not only improves the viscosity of the oil but coats the parts much better than any other additive ive ever seen

What will be the problem if i have a taping noise when i start my car until it gets warm mitsubishi 380

A tapping noise that starts out cold and goes away when warm is usually caused by a valve lifter inside the engine. The lifter may be worn/leaking down and will be noisy until it fills with oil pressure. You can try an oil additive ( Lucas Oil Additive ) available at most part stores works very well with noisy lifters. Another noise that can happen cold and go away when warm is an exhaust manifold leak. However, this is normally a ticking type sound rather than a tapping sound.

Noisy lifters

its either worn lifters, rocker arms or camshaft lobes.Try to adjust the valves or add a bottle of STP oil treatment to your oil and that should help reduce the noise.

Run low on oil and now i have a tapping noise what could it be could it be the valves

yes could have burnt ,bent-valve,/damaged rocker arm,/lifter [collapsed, flattened ] ,/push rod [burnt, bent] or ur oil over heated enough to sludge up the valve train and starving some of the components either way to correct the problem correctly [not add oil additive to help noisy engines]u have to pull off the valeif its a lifter cover and inspect the head unit for which component is problem

2001 Buick Lesabre lifters noisy

Have you tried flushing the engine crank case? You may have sludge clogging the valve lifter oil pressure ports. Get a can of Berrymans brand Chemtool, add it to a cold engine crankcase oil and run it for 5 miles or so, then change the oil and see if the noise level improves. Some tapping noise on cold start is normal and not a sign of any problem. If the noise goes away in my opinion I'd just do the flush of the system and then leave it alone.

Engine "ticking" or "tapping" noise at idle. Get

Yes, that is the probable cause. Try an oil additive for noisy / stuck lifters -- Pep Boys has it.

Also, if oil & filter haven't been changed in the last 5,000 miles, that should be done before the additive is used.

Hello! I presume from your brief description the ticking/clocking noise goes after a few seconds? if so I wouldn't be at all worried, your Hydraulic lifters are doing there job filling themselves with oil again and getting to work.
If However they are making a clicking/tappety type noise all the time then there is an additive you can purchase specifically designed to assist Hydraulic Lifters of which I would add after a Quality Oil and Oil filter change.
Hope This FixYa's Problem!
