Hello, you most likely have a rip somewhere on your door boot. Put your hands around the boot and look for any cracks or holes. If there is a hole, you will need to replace it. Boot costs between 60 to 100 dollars. Repair man costs should be no more than $60.
Best of luck.

The rubber gasket around the drum opening is leaking and rusting

You can replace it by lifting the lip of the rubber around the edge and finding the wire where the springs connect there you can stretch the springs apart, remove the wire and pull off the rubber. Just make sure first that is where the leak is, sometimes a leak in the soap dispenser water tube can seem like door gasket leak.

We have water leaking out of the front of our washer not from the door but from just below the door. Is all over the floor??

most likely you have a hole in the boot seal, the rubber piece in between the door and the tub, also open the door and wipe the bottom part of the door on the plastic window,i've found pieces of hair there and the water travels down the hair and leaks through the door.if that's clean you have a hole in the boot seal, open the door, spread the rubber boot open and with you fingers feel all around the rubber boot

Whirlpool duet washer leaking water

If the washer is leaking around the door area, more than likely the bellow (rubber seal) is ripped or torn. If you pull back the rubber folds in the bellow and inspect, you may find a rip or tear causing your leak.

Another cause can be the rear bellow clamp (clamp that is affixed to the front of the wash tub) can come loose causing a leak between the bellow and tub. All you may have to do is tighten the clamp if this is the case.

The dispenser tube on the left hand side of the door, if not seated through the rubber correctly, can also leak during the fill or rinse cycles. The tube should be inserted through the rubber in the bellow to the flange on the tube. If not, water can fill behind the rubber and drip into the bottom washer casing.

The following link explains how to access and/or replace the the door bellow on a Whirpool Duet:

Searspartsdirect.com, appliancepartspros.com, pcappliancerepair.com and repairclinic.com carry the bellow. All these sites offer competitive pricing, so shop all of them for the best deal.

If you have any questions, or require addtional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you. NOTE: The bellow can also become mishapened over time after frequent use. This can also cause leaks around the door. Look to make sure the bellow is sealing around the door glass. If not, it should also be repalced.

Leaking front loader

If your washer has a rubber seal around the inside of the door and it has a little opening where the detergent comes into the washer put your hand inside the rubber piece and feel all the way around and see if you feel any holes or cracks in it and that is where it will leak from.

Leak

It sounds like you have a leak somewhere around the door bellow. This is the rubber boot that seals the wash tub to the door frame. Pull the folds back and inspect around the entire perimeter of the rubber. You could have a small rip or tear somewhere. There are a series of small holes in the bottom of the bellow that are supposed to be there. This is the allow any standing water to drain back into the wash tub. If you cannot find any obvious signs of leaks, remove the lower panel under the door. This is accomplished by removing the screws under the bottom edge of the panel. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then off. Start the washer on a normal wash and watch for any leaks. If the door bellow leaks, the front counterweight (usually a concrete block) will begin to get wet and drip. This could also be an indication of the bellow clamp around the wash tub being loose. If the leak starts to pool under the washer and run out the front, this is usually an indication of a drain pump leak or drain line leak. Please inspect the washer with the panel removed and the washer on a load and post back and let me know. Go to my profile and use the "Ask Me" feature for a quicker response. I hope this helps you.

PS One other item. On the left hand side of the door bellow is the a dispenser tube that penetrates through the bellow and allows water to enter the wash tub. Sometimes the dispenser tube is not seated all the way into the rubber (should be seated past the flange) and it will dispense water behind the rubber instead of into the wash tub. Just something else to consider...
