If the fan is not working, your computer will not start sometime. Try cleaning the fan with hand held vacuum cleaner. and restart the computer. Before you clean the fan, remove the batteries and power cable from the computer.
Green light comes on, what about other indicator lights? Is there activity like fans humming. Try to take out the battery and power up using the ac adapter only.
Remove battery pack, press and hold power button for 5 seconds, then put battery pack back in and restart pc. This should take care of it. A bad memory stick can cause problems like this as well.
You can try basic troubleshooting. Unplug the laptop, takeout the battery. With the laptop still unplugged, put the battery back in and power-on the laptop. If that doesn't work and you hear no beeping sounds, the motherboard maybe bad and needs replacing.
try to reseat memory.
If you have 2 memory,
try to use 1 memory and if it don't work, try to move it to different slot.
If it still don't work, i suspect your motherboard have problem.
