Our Samsung ES30 is showing a DCF Full Error. It is only 1 month old and has a 2gig SD card in it. What is the problem?

This is what the manual says:
File names do not match the DCF standard.
Transfer the files on the memory card to your
computer, and then format the card. (p. 76)
Format in the camera, not in a cardslot of your computer.
Lots of errors, can be solved by removing and reinserting the battery(ies)

The manual says: the files names does not match the DCF format. Transfer the files on the card to your computer and format the card.
You tried to format and it did not work. Sure the card is not locked? The lock switch should be up, so the card is unlocked an you must be able to format te card and you should be able to write files to the memory card.
Although the camera is compatible with SCHC I wonder if you did not put in a very big card. Perhaps your camera cant work with 8 or 16 GB. Is surely can't work with SDXC cards.
Did you try a normal SD card, and could you format that one?

The problem is from your SD card. First make sure you have copied all the pictures to your computer.

Then, FORMAT your SD card using your samsung camera. (Don't format it on your computer)

.try to format both...

remove the sd card on your unit,then insert that to the mmc reader then format it to your pc,,after formatted.,,

open your unit without sd card,,go to menu - setting - format -reset

after that insert it to your unit.,then take atleast 15 shots.,.then turn it off.,.,then open again for you to find out if this procedure will okey.,

try to remove the memory card and then format the unit without memory card.,after formatting the unit.,reset it and then format the mmc to the pc.,after 10 seconds.,insert the mmc and then power on again.,

Your new 4GB card is an SDHC card. The S700 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to go with cards 2GB and smaller.

I have got a Samsung ES30 Digital camera .Everytime i turn it on it always says DCF Full Error ' which i have no idea means .Please help???
