If you have a set of av cables you can connect one set of the wire to the output of the DVD player while the other line can connect to an input line in the back of your tv.

The av cables have three ends. One cable is yellow, one is red, and the remaining end is either black or white. The jacks in the back of your DVD and TV are color coded to match the wires.

How to connect austar and a blue ray DVD player to tv

Hello,

your connection is wrong. Get a RCA wire. Yellow is video and white & red are audio.

Connect the wires to Output from the DVD. Video out and audio out. All that will be connected to the DVD will be output. The DVD is feeding out to the TV, so it is giving.

Now the all connections to the TV will be input. Because the TV is receiving from the DVD. Connect from the DVD to TV respectively.

Turn on the TV and DVD, then press Souce/AV on the TV. Now you should see a display and hear sound from the DVD through the TV.

I hope the above is clear. If not, please let me know.

Good luck.

How to connect a dvd player to a tv set

Connect the incoming antenna to the DVD player (look for connections on the back of the DVD player for Antenna In). Then connect the Dvd player to the Tv. Use the "out" connections on the back of the DVD player and the "in" connections on the back of the tv. You can use RCA jacks to connect the DVD to the tv, or any other type of connection available. Once the DVD player is connected to the tv, you need to set the incoming source on the television. Click on the source button until you find the one that has a clear picture. Dvd connections are usually listed as "aux 1 or 2" on the tv source choices. You will know when you choose the right one because the picture will come in on the tv.

Hope this helps?

We're not getting any sound from the dvd's. I have two cables (green/blue/red) and (red/white). but I'm at a loss how to connect from DVD to TV. Help please!

If your TV has the green, blue, red inputs then connect these 3 cables for the picture. DVD to TV, green to green, blue to blue and red to red. If your TV only has a yellow input, then connect the green cable only from the DVD yellow to the TV yellow. Now for the sound. Connect the DVD white to the TV white. Connect the DVD red to the TV red with the red cable. The white and red inputs will be next to the yellow and the green, blue, red inputs on the TV. Next select the TV input using your TV remote. Select the input for the DVD connection.

How to connect to tv using converter boxs

DVD does not need to go through converter box.
The converter is only to receive the digital TV through the antenna. DVD might have to switch to another connection on the TV, and if it doesn't have enough connections, you have a problem.

Now have verizon Fios and cannot get DVD player to play

Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.

If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.

If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.

If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.

Regards.
