Ok when i turn it on the power light comes on for a bit then turns off then comes on then goes off if i keep trying for a long time it eventually comes on. but now my screen is dimmer. colors are off a bit. its not as clear as it use to be its slightly blurry compared to what it use to be.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

I have just managed to do this. I cannot tell you the code as I had to do it manually, but this is how I did it.

point the remote away from the TiVo and hold down the clear button and the to button until the free light flashed twice.

type in the code 0999 and the light will flash again. Then point the remote at the to and press and hold the channel up button. You will now scroll throw all the codes.

it will take about a minute but eventually the to will go off. When this happens release the channel up button and hold down the green on button to try turn the tv on with the TiVo remote.

if it comes on press ok and this will store the code. If it doesn't come on, use the blaupunkt to remote to turn the tv back on and then keep holding down the channel up button to scroll through more codes. When the to goes off again release the channel up button and try turn it on with the TiVo remote. If it works this time store the code by pressing ok

for me it took two attempts to turn the to on but eventually it worked on the second code

Check the lamp fan (big fan behind the lamp) you can try cleaning it. Make sure you use an original lamp. Do not buy a cheap lamp from ebay or amazon.

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. If it is same, there are leaky/dry capacitors and/or dry solders. Please refer it to a qualified service technician.

Take the back off of the TV and look at the power supply board (middle of the set). One or more electrolitic capacitors will have the tops swelled up. Replace them with the same value parts and you will be OK.

Check 3 capacitors on Power supply/deflection board cp150 2200uf 16v if it is bad replace 2 other caps in same circuit cp111 cp114 220uf 35v

Try replacin a new display card. If it is fine working.ok
If not try fixing for cold solder in the video section.
I suggest video section according your report the light green LED lighted that shows the power section is doing fine.
