Hygena Dishwasher My dishwasher does not drain the water away properly. About an inch of water lies in the bottom after a cycle. Incidentally, when I put it on a "cold rinse" (which is the only other setting to "wash 60c") it rinses with hot water. Is my switch and my pump broken or is there another possibility?

Water not draining away, what can I do

Take out the bottom rack and put it aside. In the bottom of the dishwasher, there is a plastic strainer that screws in. Remove the screws and set them aside with the strainer. Feel around for anything in the hole which could be blocking the drain. Often labels, soapscum, food particles, etc., get in there. If there is standing water, mop it out so you can see in there. After you've cleaned out the drain, replace the strainer with its screws and the bottom rack. Try the dishwasher out by letting in a little water (an inch) at the start of the cycle, then turn it to the end of the rinse cycle to see if the water drains out. Hopefully that will fix your problem without having to call in an expert.

Hi We have a 1 yr old Bosch dishwasher SGS45C02GB-06. It's stopped working for the second time in a year. It stopped mid-cycle and the water is not draining away or being pumped away; although you can...

Did you install the high-loop for the drain hose? If not, you need to pull out the dishwasher and make sure that the hose is not lying below the pump at the bottom of the dishwasher. This will usually fix this problem.

Have miele g611sc dishwasher opened up after cycle lots of water and bubbles in bottom ??

Sounds like it is either not draining properly or the type of powder or tablets you are using is sudding up too much and will not drain away the bubbles.
The 611 is a small dishwasher and only requires a small amount of powder.

try running a few cycles with no powder and see if it drains the water away ok. if it does then it is the detergent.
if there is water left in the base at the end of the cycle check the drain hose connection under your sink and make sure there are no blockages on the u bend spigot where the hose connects. if the unit does have a fault like not draning then the inlet/drain light will lit up.

hope this helps

Ran on normal cycle when done 2 inches of water on bottom

Test by restarting the cycle and see if water drains if it does not then there is either a blockege in the pipe ,pump,or in the machine where the water passes out normally through a filter if you have checked and cleaned out filter and drain pipe and there is still no draining then listen to the pump if you can hear a humming niose then there is something in the pump itself and you need to take it out and inspect the impelar houseing remove what ever is there put back and enjoy if there is no noise and pump is clean then it is proberly fualty and nedd replaceing.

E 1 error

90% of the time you get an E1 error code is because the drain hose is not properly installed between the LG dishwasher and the drain. The hose should connect to an Air Gap valve (almost free at any hardware store) but in a pinch, raise the drain hose near the drain and attach the hose to the bottom of the counter top under the sink. Is should rise almost 30 inches between the dishwasher and the drain or the water WILL siphon out of the dishwasher as soon as the wash or rinse cycle begins (and take 5 minutes before the water gets low enough the cause the E1 error.
Good Luck!
