I stepped on my laptop by accident and not very hard but now when i turn my screen on its just a white screen is it possible to fix this without buying a new laptop or paying for repairs . . .

If you can plug an external monitor into the laptop, and if it works ok, the video on the laptop is going bad (chip or cable). If an external monitor works, I recommend you back up your data asap, if possible to an external hard drive. No way of telling how long before other things go wrong, and the price of fixing it might cost more than getting a new laptop.

White screen means the hard drive did not boot. Replace the Hard Drive.

Have you tried with a external monitor, if that works the gfx card is ok and fault lies in a connector that has released from the motherboard. The lcd isn't getting the signal from gfx card wich only can be the connector or the control circuits(matrix circuits) for the display the latter example requires a new screen.
But if the external monitor doesn't show anything it's the graphics card mounted on the motherboard that has given up and that isn't something can be fixed without replacing the motherboard.
