I have a wingman formula wheel and pedals solid yellow wheel with padels at wheel and foot pedals .Question is this still useable with anynew stuff out today it is like new?

It is possible that foot padel got dusty that is causing this error. Check the cable between foot padel and machine and confirm it is ok. Clean the foot padel and all mechanical part and confirm they are working properly. There is a switch that tells machine foot padel is engaged or not. Confirm that switch is working properly. The drivers were made to work on XP, but I think I found one that may work on Vista for the steering wheel.

Now I am not sure whether it will work or not, there are alot of complaints for the wheel's pedals not working for games, but all the buttons working. Go into the control panel and look for the menu for controllers and input devices. Make sure all the settings are correct.

Disconnect the hardware and reconnect it and reinstall the drivers again.this should solve the problem

might be the pedal connection to the wheel (telephone jack like) I had some success with raising the tiny contacts in the wheel part of the connection with my tiniest allen key

I presume these are not under warranty.
As long as it is not due to a foreign object being jammed in the hinge/base/brake pedal, if the pedals have miles on them you are experiencing a common
problem with many, many aged Logitech pedals.
At the time your was manufactured, Logitech used the same assembly for pedals on all of their products as far as I know.

Yes And Know, It works with some games, it is a trial and error, there is a few posts online with games that it works with, I have one and it works with Grand Turismo 5 and Smash Cars, I have not tried it on any others, but it does work on some, 

Vista has awful driver support- especially with peripherals such as these and even more so with the 64-bit version. I suggest switching back to XP. It also would never hurt to contact Logitech about if the device is supported by Vista x64 but I highly doubt it.

You need to download and install the correct drivers for the hardware.
Need the manufacturer, model etc. Search for the drivers on the web.
Are you plugging it into a PC or games console?

Best bet is a whole new (well, second hand) wheel from Ebay. There were a couple of sites that made spare bearings & wheels for it but that was as far as they went I'm afraid.
