Try putting the sim card in another phone,,,

If you have data on the phone you will need to use the Phone cable to run it to a computer and Motorolla phone tools to get the data back,, but changces are the numbers are stored on the sim and you can get them back by just placing the sim in another phone

Hi,
As told by Ekse, the phone numbers cannot be recovered at home. The motorola mobile software doesnot have the utlity to copy the contacts of the phonebook to the computer. I have a motorola v3i and was not able to do the same.
The best solution is take to a repair guy , connect a working screen, copy contacts to sim card.

Thanks
proton

If you have motorola phone tools installed on your computer and your phone plugged in, you should be able to get your contacts, and all other data save on it.

Once phone tools is open and your phone is connected, you should be able to select the phone profile, and then click on the multimedia component in phone tools. This should allow you to access the on-phone memory storage, and you can get all the data save on the phoen memory.

Hope that helps.........

Just connect the USB cable to the phone and connect it to your computer and run the phone utility and that way you can get the data on your phone memory...

You can use Motorola Phone Tools

Download it HERE

You will need a USB cable with a mini USB connector like you would use for a camera or something similar.

Numbers are either stored in the sim card or in the phone memory, if you need to restore them from the phone memory, you need to take it to someone, as you can't do it yourself since you can't see the screen.

  • Ekse Jul 27, 2008

if the numbers are stored in the sim card, then the numbers can be recovered in another phone.

if it is less than 12 mths old and you still have the store reciept take it to a store with the reciept and have it repaired under warranty.
if it is older than 12mths it has no warranty and would be cheaper to replace it with a prepaid phone of your existing carrier
