Fisher&paykel GWL11 In rinse cycle, get musical beep indicating excessive suds (not present). Rinse repeatedly stops with this error. The pump does cycle, but doesnt drain completely. I can eventually get it drained by repeatedly starting it on spin. Error code is #37. I checked diverter valve and pump--no obstructions. Drain hose is not constricted. Could this be the motor controller?

SOURCE: RE: won't drain

I had the same symptoms (washes normally, but won't drain/spin) It would only make a faint hum. I found it fairly easy to lift and tilt back the upper section id by removing the front two screws under the lid. The aggitator came out easily by removing the softener cup and unscrewing the large plastic wingnut inside. The upper plastic shroud came off by carefully removing the eight or so plastic tabs. Once the shroud was off, I could lift out the main wash tub. With the wash tub out, I was able to remove all remaining water from the holding tub with a cup and sponge out all water down into the depression where the pump assembly is located. One screw removed the cover to the pump assembly. Once apart, I found a thin piece of plastic was jamming the pump impeller from spinning. I blew through the drain hose from the back to ensure the drain system was clean. Reassembled in reverse in less than 10 minutes. It worked. Thanks Fixya!!!

SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Top-Load Washer troubleshooting

I've had my washer for about 8 years. I experienced the same problem - pump stopped draining the machine. I called F&P and "Patrick" told me that I need to 1) unplug the machine, 2) tilt up the front of the machine, 3) spin the pump (plastic blades) until they turn freely (usually counter clockwise) but I turn it both ways till it turns freely, 4) plug the machine back in and press the buttons to get it back where it was - this has worked every time to get the machine going again. I do a lot of "dog laundry" and I'm sure the rugs/dog hair cause the problem. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: fisher and paykel gw509 not draining, pump is clear

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel GWL11 Leaking water

If you cannot see the water leaking from the inlet valves, check the seal just above the water pump located directly under the drum. I am in the midst of awaiting parts to fix this very thing on my FP GWL11. This leak is dripping water directly onto the motor, causing it to trip the circuit breaker during drain/spin cycles.

Note... I have also had to have the inlet valve assembly replaced as well as it was not opening to allow cold water to mix with the hot.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: washer will not drain

90% chance that is the pump is pumping water at all, there is blockage between the tub and the drain pump. If there is no water coming out of the drain line. either extremely clogged(odd) or pump motor is bad, and windings are not allowing rotation.

Fisher Paykel washing machine Smartdrive 703 Advance, Power and Start buttons are non responsive when pushed. Is there a part that can fix this. Does the control panel have to be replaced?

Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive beeps and stops during rinse cycle. If I hit pause and wait and restart it eventually continues. It seems like it has problems detecting water level.

Doesn't drain in rinse mode

Hi just read your posting. Now when it stalls in the rinse cycle does it start to beep and light up a couple of lights to indicate a fault code? Or do you have the LCD display model that shows the error code.If your machine shows some light on the same line of lights, there are 8 in a row , which ones are lit? Is it the 2nd and 4th or 1st and 6th--etc .Also if you have the LCD display model what is the error code? Please reply for further help.Hope this helped.

During the rinse cycle, our GWL 11 Fisher & Paykel

The problem is in the pump, so it will not pump out, you will need to find another way to empty it, removing the agitator will make the job easier.
When you get the water out the pump can be accessed from underneath, it turns anticlockwise to remove it,.
I would buy a new pump as it is most likely that is all that is wrong with it.

F&P washer lights on and beeps

Clogged pump stopped up drain. If the washer does not think all water was pumped out in 8 minutes then it shuts down. Slow drain is my first inclination.

Stops before rinse cycle... won't drain or spin.

The REGULAR CYCLE button turns the drain pump on or off. The REGULAR LED will turn
on when the pump is on. This feature can be used to drain the tub. You could get a bucket and lay the hose on the fllor. Gravity will drain it down.
