Our LG LD350 has an intermitant problem. The TV will turn on and work fine for hours. Then you turn it of and the status light turns red. Normally when you turn it back on the led light will do a dim out 3 flash then turn to blue, but every now and then it will just stay red and then go out completly. The TV will not turn back on untill you unplug and plug it back in numerous times. Then it will work ok until in does it again. Is this an input problem I can fix myself with parts?

Check out power supply and inverter boards in that order.

may be your DM board is gone......

i have the same problem with mine but it makes a crackling sound.I have unplugged and re-plugged but nothing please help

This is a thermo-related issue. It happens when some parts in your TV reach certain temperature and fail creating short so TV shuts down and goes into protection mode.
In your TV the only thing that you can do is to replace Power Supply and hope it would help. Main board generally has nothing to do with temperature. Another probability - LCD panel itself (more likely back light inverter boards that are part of the panel, you can't order them separately).
There is inexpensive way to determine if it is power supply or not. You have to purchase fast-cooling spray that technicians use for diagnostic purposes (you can buy one in electronics components store).
You have remove TV rear cover so you have access to power supply board (the one where power cord goes). Turn on TV and let it run and eventually shut down. After that unplug it from wall outlet and use spray to cool down power supply board. Make sure you don't spray too much or you cooling anything else besides that board!. Let residue evaporate and plug TV back and try to turn it on. If it act OK and stays on for long time again - replace power supply and you should be OK.
Otherwise it is time for new TV. Panel is too expensive to replace.

Go to a repair centre, some parts must be fixed/replaced.

The lamp has run out of its operating hours which is normally 3000 hrs. Replace the lamp and you will be alright.

well it looks to me u need a new tv....all the details u give are pointing that ur picture tube is gone.....but call LG help and costumer line and ask them......u may get away from it to get a new tv
make sure when u get a new plasma to extend ur warren tie to a max o 3 to 5 years and if this would happend u get it repaires for free.......cost for a new screen app 1000 to 1500 dollars

This is exactly intermitent problem, It needs to be trouble shoot at the repair shop if the problems occurs from power supply or high voltage.It needs a lot of test and equuipement to be accurate.And also the specific parts.
