SOURCE: Gateway 450rog cmos battery

The CMOS battery is located on the motherboard, just under the bottom left side of the keyboard, by the letter 'V". It looks like a clock battery, marked 3V (volts). The battery comes out of its "cage/connector" by gently lifting it with a small flat screwdriver. Replacement CMOS batteries are inexpensive and readily available at any computer shop. Hope that helps

SOURCE: Acer Travelamte 515 TE cmos battery replacement

Hi!

I've encountered the same problem. The solution however is rather simple.... except for the troubles in removing the keyboard...
Just on the right of the HD, there is a small 3 volts Lithium battery (not rechargeable, I guess), similar to those used in watches. The code of the battery is CR1220.
Simply replace it (it easily found in electronic shops for a few euros) and all will be ok!

I hope to be helpful!

SOURCE: Where is the CMOS battery?

You will find the CMOS battrey under the modem. Turn laptop up side down, it is in left, lower corner. Battrey you can buy in any electrinic shop, but dont go by laptop name, go by battrey number. It cost 5.00$
Good luck, Marian.

To take the keys off, gently pull up on the top side of the keys until they snap off. Just push them down again and they'll snap back on.

Where is the location of the Cmos battery for my

You really need a service manual to try & locate the CMOS battery. With laptops the CMOS battery can be different on each model. These are often located on the motherboard below the keyboard, but a service manual should help you.

Try to clean the Cmos password from acer aspire 5315

What ever you do, do not use soap and water!!

Really, this is a little tough. There is a jumper someplace close to the cmos battery that will allow you to clear the password. First thing you have to do is find the cmos battery, and it could be under the keyboard, or under a cover on the bottom of the machine.

Looked for a service manual for you, but unable to come up with one.

Fujitsu Seimens Laptop V2030. I have removed the 2030 disk shaped cmos back up battery placed under sticky tape and replaced with new. The computer will now not boot up. I have power to the fan but no...

changing this shouldn't cause or harm it at all. except if you change it the wrong way it could burn the bios chip's internal blocks.

1. remove the battery, + big battery + ac charger
and wait 15 minutes, then boot.

2. try booting without the cmos battery

3. try swapping the memory

why did u change it in the first place?

Cmos battery

Hi ,, the battery is located on the main board.(I think you know this) eighter under the keyboard or in the back. You will need to open it up, First take the hinges off by prying it up(the piece that connects the screen to the computer) You will then find the screws that holds the keyboard in place. Take these out as well. Now if you dont see your battery, Turn the laptop over, remove the rom, hd, and rams, (there are a few screws holding them in place then slide them out). now remove all other screws and lift the back cover off there is your mainboard and the battery sould be there.

Here is a Disassembly guide complete with pictures. It describes step by step how to take apart the laptop safely and then follow the instructions backward to reassemble it. This is where i brought my manual from

SONY VAIO CMOS BATTERY LOCATION

Correction...

The CMOS battery is located under the system board, and is not accessible from under the keyboard.

The keyboard has to be removed in order to change the CMOS batter, (another reason why I don't like Sony laptops.)

Below is the batter I just pulled from a user's VGN-FS660\W 892cbd5.jpg
