It actually doesn't matter which wires you switch, you just need to switch 2 of them. Blue <--> yellow, blue<--> white, yellow <--> white; any one of those combinations should do the trick.
AV cables reversed perhaps. Sounds like VIDEO (Yellow, Green, Blue or Red) cable is plugged into the AUDIO section. Perhaps you have switched the RED (Left audio) cable plugged into the RED (Component) Video cables. This would account for the loud buzz and since the set isn't getting an image it goes into standby mode. Just a thought.
First of all sorry for delay.
can you provide a image of yello shadow.I believe it seems to be technically say "ghost image"
If it is ghost image we can try by entering SERVICE Menu and adjust RGB level of the light engine.
I can't imagine a setting that would cause this - It sound more like some sort of fault with the projector's blue LCD panel. (The image is created from a mix of red, green and blue light. If you loose the blue, everything will look yellow.)
Is it capable of showing any shades of blue?
Using any graphics or photo-editing software, create a solid blue image (R=0, G=0, B=255 in your colour settings) and if possible, display this full-screen. Is there any output from the projector at all when you do?
If not, it sounds like it need a professional repair.
Looks like your projector has done it. Thats acommon trouble to ageing polirising lens, usually the blue. less blue, the green and red make up the yellowish image on the screen. The blue is bombarded with tremendous heat from the lamp and it fade and wash out. If its free, its worth replacing. Get quote for the poliriser; 2 pieces each color. Good Luck.
