How to set the time for the JVC KD-S580 - JVC KD-S580 CD Player

make sure that you have wired it to the manufacturers spesification, ie, that you have one wire, ususlly the yellow , going to a permanent, not switched power sourse

Press and hold sel and press and hold disp. Use Vol+ and - to set the hour. Then press fast forward to get to minutes.

the lens in your cd player might be fried. is it a factor cd player or aftermarket. some people at certin dealerships will have a bad part and swap it out for a good one from someone elses car. it happened to me one time. i took my car to get a tune up and when i got it back they had switched me cd players. they gave me the same kind i had but i knew mine wasnt broke it was only a few days old. i went back there and told them that and they said that nobody did anything to it and i said about getting the cops and then the guy in the grage gave me back my cd player. so make sure that it didnt happen to you.

push and hold power and eject together for 3 or more seconds

i have the same problem in a 2001 mercury cougar. i got power all the way to the back of the radio from the ignition (red) and constant (yellow) wires and the ground wire is good. Think the head unit might be screwed the fuses are all fine. not sure though
