float switch is stuck in the "down" position. The unit goes thru a fill cycle and after 1 minute, the board "Looks" at the float swith to "see" if the sump is full. If float is stuck down, it tells the board that the unit does not have enough water and stays in the fill cycle. The compressor will not come on as long as the machine "thinks" there is not enough water. let me know if I can help further
The board is telling you that there is an issue. Usually there is a series of beeps indicating the issue. the reset button is on the board, near the top of the board and is small and white. press it to reset.
Most all of Hoshi ice makers have power go thru the bin stat first. It sends power to the board and everything then powers up. Start there and get back to me.I will need model and serial numbers to be sure I have the correct wiring diagram for your unit should we need to go any further. Good Luck.
Hello it sounds like the timer on the ice maker may be the cause. If you open the freezer when the fan is off raise and lower the arm on the ice full shut off. listen for a faint clicking noise you wont hear if fan is going. If it does not click the problem is going to be in the actual switch. I have repaired several with this same problem with the switch but you would probably rather invest in a new ice maker or either buy some trays. As the ice makers can cost up to 200 dollars in some models. The only other thing to check is if the water line is bent or crimped off.
Not real sure just what you are saying as to what pan? The copper pipes that go to the evap plates where the ice is made are supposed to frost over. They get colder than dew point of the air so this is normal. But all the pipes should frost. Does the unit shut down and give any type of beeping noises? This would be the control giving you a trouble code. You may have a water valve leaking. Turn unit off and see if water continues to run. All water should stop within a few seconds. Let me know what you find. Please verify model and serial numbers.
Hoshizaki machines have a water inlet valve that can stick in the open position. This will cause the machine to do silly things. If you can turn the machine off and you can still hear water running, the valve is stuck open. It is an easy fix. Water valve only has 2 wires going to it and 2 water lines. One inlet and one outlet. Just turn off water and kill power at the breaker before doing any work.
Hope this helps and good luck.

My ice machine Hoshizaki km-500 mah is cycling to fast. Causing poor production of ice it's real small and it doesn't produce enough ice aswell. Wha seems to be the problem.
Always attempt to have Hoshizaki pumps rebuilt when possible. The parts are cheap compared to buying a new pump. Check ebay from time to time I have just started tearing units down and selling the used parts, that are still functional. Sold that pump for $75 last week
