Mag Innovision LT765b 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor

I have enjoyed this monitor for a couple of years and it stays ON most of the time. Suddenly, yesterday morning after reading an email I went to scan something to include in a reply and it froze...so I went to reboot and the monitor showed a little square message saying NO SIGNAL I rebooted,...nothing different. I unplugged everything and waited a few seconds and replugged...NOTHING except the screen kept trying to come up...i could see the wallpaper and the desktop flash for a second a couple of times but it just wouldn't hold....then the screen went totally WHITE...like a white light. I don't know what happened. Is it fixable or must I retire it and buy another new one??? I like this one bc it has speakers in it too and I don't have to buy extra....nice.Can you help? I burned a CD and when I came back upstairs and went to use the computer the screen went white...

Hi...there,
Well, sure it fixable... but not so easy to find a AD board online. Only manufacturer carried this part... If you want you can contact them if they still have a refurbished parts laid around....

Windows has a nasty habit of muting the sound. From the Speaker icon in the right bottom corner of the screen click on the speaker and unmute the sound.

I have had similar problems with my Mag LCD monitor. I recently dicovered that the problem was with the adapter and not the monitor. Try replacing the power adapter.

if you have the old one, radio shack may have a compatible unit. Other than buying it from the manufacturer you can get them from ebay pretty cheaply.

You need to try another monitor, any type. If you find another monitor does functions return the 19" monitor. Most monitors come with a 1 year warranty.

Monitor display shifted offscreen

I would be carefull with refresh rates unless you know the maximum and minum rates to apply to your monitor. I solved this problem before for someone and what i recomen is to set your normal desktop to the same resulution as your computer games. That way when you leave your games or reboot it will be the same. See what is happening is when you play your games it is a higher resultion then your normal desktop. And when you log off from it your monitor has to re adjust to the old settings. This will cause a shift. By setting them both the same you will avoid this problem all together.
